West Texas Eveing is a fused glass abstract landscape created by painting on glass with special enamels and then fired in my kiln. Additional design is added to the surface to add character and texture to this piece. It was all done and ready go to my solo gallery show in 2023. I had it leaning against the wall waiting to load it in my car when my studio assistant, Gus the dog, accidently brushed up against it and it fell down, face first onto the rug. Crap!! A small crack appeared on the front. I was able to work special gold paint into and around the crack. The crack is still there, the gold paint doesn't make it disappear, but it does hide the crack and makes it fade into the background. But unless you are specifically looking for it, you don't really notice it.
As a result of the damage to West Texas Evening, I have discounted it 35% from the original price of $450 to $290 and include free shipping for this art.
The fused glass artwork is mounted to a deep, 18"x18"x2" whitewashed wood panel and is wired and ready to hang. I also added my signature glass “tattoo” to the side of the panel. The tattoo design mimics the design on the front of the panel.
$30 from this purchase will be donated to one of my charities, in your name. Select which charity you would like to support and together we can make the world a more beautiful place!
