"Fractured Sunlight" is an abstract fused glass painting consisting of overlapping, rectangular and square shapes in a variety of warm colors including red, orange, yellow, and brown, with occasional green accents. I then use a fluid writing pen to add black outlines and accents giving this piece a mid-century modern vibe. Additional colored glass are added to the surface giving it texture and interest. Transparent orange glass on edge and various complimentary colors of glass on the surface add texture and interest. The overall effect is dynamic and geometric, suggesting movement and complexity within a structured form The glass is adhered to a 24"x6"x2" wood panel and is ready to hang.
 
I added a glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the panel which mimics the front and adds interest.
