18" x 18" x 2" | Textured Fused Glass on Whitewashed Wood Panel
 
Where the Story Begins is an original fused glass wall sculpture from my Glasscapes series. Layers of hand-cut glass, painterly surfaces, and raised architectural elements come together to create a composition that invites exploration. Warm golds, oranges, reds, charcoal, and soft whites create a sense of energy and possibility, while copper-colored glass lines guide the eye through the piece before leading outward to a smaller secondary grouping.
 
The raised glass components cast changing shadows throughout the day, adding depth and movement as the light shifts. Mounted on a hand-painted wood panel, the piece extends beyond the front surface with my signature "tattoo"—a small fused glass detail set into the side of the panel. It's a quiet finishing touch that echoes the design on the front and rewards a closer look.
 
Like all of my Glasscapes, this piece is intended to suggest a place rather than describe one, leaving room for each viewer to discover their own story.
