Saffron combines a warm orange and red background with raised geometric glass shapes and bold black linear marks. Small blocks of red, black, cream, and brown glass create contrast and depth, while intersecting horizontal and vertical elements give the composition an architectural feel.
Transparent orange glass stands on edge, with its top finished in gold. This dimensional detail catches the light and adds another layer of color and texture to the design. The black lines extend across the surface, connecting the raised elements and adding an expressive, hand-drawn quality.
 
Mounted on a white wood panel, Saffron includes a small glass tattoo on the side that echoes the geometric design on the front. This extra detail carries the composition around the corner and makes the piece interesting from more than one angle. Part of the Glasscapes series, Saffron is a compact, colorful work that combines layered glass, texture, and strong graphic elements.
