Meridian is a small sculptural textured fused glass block built around balance, structure, and visual movement. A cool blue ground provides the foundation for an arrangement of layered glass, painted elements, and linear marks that move both horizontally and vertically across the surface.
The composition is anchored by a dark blue glass element standing on edge, finished with a gold top edge, creating a strong architectural line and a subtle sense of depth. Smaller pieces of textured and painted glass are layered throughout, bringing touches of red, white, black, gold, and warm metallic tones into the predominantly blue composition.
 
Fine black lines extend through and around the raised elements, creating a network of intersecting marks that gives the piece its distinctive geometric rhythm. The dimensional construction allows light to move across the glass and emphasizes the contrast between the smooth painted surface and the raised, tactile components. A small coordinating glass tile "tattoo" on the side carries a simplified version of the geometric motif, giving the piece an unexpected detail when viewed from an angle.
