This round tempered glass bowl is very unique. It is formed by breaking tempered glass into pieces and then forming those pieces into a mould and fired in my kiln. This forms the shape of the bowl. The next step is to use inks to color the underside of the bowl which I then cover with verigated silver leaf. I wrap some of this silver sheet around the edges to add interest. The last step is to use resin to seal the solver leaf. Lots of steps are involved in this process, but the outcome is a very unique statement piece. It is not for food use, but instead is a piece of sparkling art! The bowl is 12" round and 2" deep.
