Original Fused Glass Wall Art

A Place Taking Shape
Glasscapes Series | 24" × 12" × 2"
A landscape of color, lines, and dimensional glass, A Place Taking Shape brings together soft washes of turquoise, aqua, pink, and smoky gray with raised glass forms and expressive black lines. The composition feels a little like an imagined place emerging from a collection of shapes and connections.

One of my favorite details is the clear glass with white swirls, standing on edge and finished with a gold-painted top. The swirls add texture and interest, while the transparency allows you to look through the glass and see the designs beneath and alongside it. This creates another layer of depth and makes the relationships between the glass elements especially interesting.

The raised shapes, intersecting lines, and open areas work together to give the piece both structure and movement. A small glass tattoo on the side of the white wood panel echoes the main design, carrying the composition around the edge and adding a detail to discover when viewing the piece from different angles.

Measuring 24" × 12" × 2", A Place Taking Shape is a dimensional work of contemporary glass art designed to be enjoyed up close, where the layers, textures, and small details reveal themselves over time.
